Shift & Location Details:

• Location: William Jolly Bridge
• Roster: 4 x 9.5-hour days.
• Overtime: Opportunity to work the 5th day for overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect various concrete structures, specifically identifying zones requiring remediation, such as bridge sections deteriorating due to oxidized internal steel.
• Undertake comprehensive concrete restoration duties, including:
• Utilizing jackhammers and grinders to break out compromised concrete material.
• Preparing surfaces for repair through sandblasting methods.
• Applying gunite (sprayed concrete) for structural restoration purposes.
• Implementing boxing and screeding to protect and resurface repaired segments.
• Accurately measuring, shaping, and cutting metal or timber components.
• Operating effectively within an encapsulated work environment.

Requirements:

• Essential:
• Proven experience working with formwork and concrete - highly advantageous to have bridge remediation experience
• Working at Heights
• White Card
• Reliable transport
• Highly Desirable:
• Trade Qualified in either Formwork, Carpentry or Concrete
• Dogman Ticket
• Reliable, safety-focused, and ready to work in a team environment.
