assistant accountant

• Perform day-to-day accounting tasks, bank and balance sheet reconciliations
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including reconciling bank statements and credit card transactions.
• Prepare and process invoices, purchase orders, and expense reports.
• Conduct regular financial analysis and generate reports for management, highlighting key financial indicators and trends.
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure proper financial controls and procedures are followed.
• Stay up-to-date with accounting principles and regulations to ensure compliance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an Assistant Accountant OR in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Past experience in using Netsuite (preferred)
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organisational and time management skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive financial information.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
• Relevant certifications (e.g., Cert IV in Accounting) would be an advantage.
• Studying towards CA/ CPA
