In this fast-paced, high-impact role, you will be the ultimate gatekeeper and strategic coordinator for the Executive Director. Your daily focus will include:

  • Correspondence & Reporting: Reviewing and drafting high-level briefs, minutes, and urgent responses for the Minister, Cabinet, and senior leadership.

  • Project & Event Coordination: Assisting with business planning, tracking statutory data, and coordinating workshops or forums.

  • Financial Administration: Managing credit card reconciliations and purchasing support via government accounting software.

Who You Are

To thrive in this environment, you are a resilient administrative powerhouse who stays calm under pressure and excels in politically sensitive environments.

Essential Requirements:

  • Proven Executive Experience: Demonstrated success providing secretarial or executive support to senior management, committees, and board-level environments.

  • Elite Communication & Tact: Exceptional written skills to draft ministerial responses and the diplomacy needed to navigate complex stakeholder relationships.

  • Resourcefulness & Drive: A proactive approach to problem-solving, juggling multiple projects concurrently, and managing heavy workloads with absolute discretion.

  • Tech Savvy: Proficient across the Microsoft Office Suite and experienced in robust record-management practices (experience with Objective systems is highly desirable).

Mandatory Screening & Conditions

  • Must have a current National Police Clearance (Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check).

  • Compliance with SA Health immunisation risk category requirements.
