About the Role & Team
Are you a highly organised communications professional with exceptional attention to detail and strong stakeholder engagement skills? We are seeking a flexible, proactive Communications Support Officer for an immediate 4-week contract supporting a key Strategic Operations team and Executive leadership.
You’ll be joining a friendly, welcoming, and supportive team of 4–5 people who take pride in a positive workplace culture (complete with regular team morning teas!).
This fast-paced role involves time-sensitive internal communications, multi-site stakeholder liaison, event management, and system content updates.
Key Responsibilities
Operational & Priority Bulletins: Draft and distribute monthly operational bulletins and critical, time-sensitive priority bulletins (e.g., major equipment shutdowns requiring multi-site coordination for appointment/screening reallocation's).
Newsletters & Content Creation: Coordinate, write, and distribute the fortnightly internal staff newsletter via Contact Monkey.
Stakeholder Engagement: Active phone, Teams, and email communication with diverse operational stakeholders across multiple sites.
Events & Recognition's : Plan and manage industry celebration days (e.g., National Nurses Day, Allied Health Professional Days) and internal recognition initiatives (Certificates of Service/Recognition).
Promotional & Uniform Coordination: Manage branded promotional items (thank you cards, USBs) and assist new staff through the online uniform ordering portal.
Digital & Intranet Updates: Update and maintain intranet and internet content using internal CMS platforms and pre-designed templates.
Systems Used
Distribution & Design: Contact Monkey, Venngage (branded templates), SurveyMonkey
Web & Administrative: IBM Intranet CMS (supported by a dedicated online services team), ADA (Uniform Portal), Facecruit
What We Are Looking For
Government Experience: Prior experience working within State Government or public sector environments is highly regarded.
Mandatory Requirement: You must hold a valid, current National Police Clearance to be considered for this position.
Writing & Detail: Exceptional written communication skills with a sharp eye for accuracy in high-stakes, time-sensitive communications.
Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills with the confidence to conduct extensive stakeholder engagement across multiple locations.
Adaptability & Initiative: Highly flexible, open to varied daily duties, and comfortable seeking support when navigating custom systems.
