Are you a quality or early childhood specialist who wants to make an impact on a national scale by ensuring quality assurance, applying best practice, and evaluating early childhood disability planning?
I am currently partnering with a prominent federal government agency in the disability sector with several exciting opportunities within the National Early Childhood Branch.
About the Opportunity
As the APS6 Quality Officer, you will undertake complex work under limited direction to support early childhood planning and decision-making for children under nine with developmental delays or disabilities. You will exercise initiative and judgment to interpret legislation and policy, mentor team members, and drive continuous improvement across the branch.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting quality assurance and quality control activities in relation to early childhood planning and decision-making.
- Applying best practice coaching models to support and mentor team members, enhancing delegate capability, decision-making correctness, and technical skills.
- Assisting to develop and implement improvement strategies, tracking trends, and providing insights into continuous improvement.
- Liaising with and educating key agency stakeholders to build knowledge of early childhood planning.
- Managing complex escalations and providing resolutions.
Ideally you will Possess:
- Strong ability to interpret and apply relevant legislation, policies, procedures, and standards to ensure compliance.
- Expertise in providing technical, professional, policy, and operational support on complex issues.
- Proficiency in applying best practice coaching models.
- Proficiency in Excel and strong data analysis skills to manage data and support informed decision-making.
- Experience or qualifications in early childhood, disability, allied health, or the public service sector are highly desirable.
