About the Role
Our client is a QLD government organisation based in Carseldine QLD. They are currently seeking an AO7 Principal Finance Advisor to come in and work with them on a temp contract until 11th April 2027 with possible extensions.
Requirements for the role include:
- Possession of a tertiary qualification in accountancy is highly desirable.
- Demonstrated expertise in the management of financial transactions, processes and systems, with the ability to ensure strong financial governance, compliance with accounting standards and departmental requirements
- Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify opportunities for improvement and deliver practical business outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to business improvement, process review, organisational change or transformation initiatives
The Principal Finance Advisor is engaged on a project basis to analyse, optimise and implement improvements to transactional finance and business processes associated with Leasing functions.
Key responsibilities include:
- Workflow Analysis & Business Intelligence: Analyse financial and administrative processes to streamline operations, cut down workload, and deliver data-driven insights for decision-making.
- Process Improvement & Delivery: Lead the design and timely rollout of business process enhancements, collaborating across teams to ensure successful adoption and measurable benefits.
- Financial Governance & Compliance: Establish strong governance frameworks, internal controls, and policy compliance to protect financial integrity and information quality.
- Stakeholder Management & Partnerships: Build and maintain strategic relationships across internal and external network partners to drive project success.
- Strategic Proposals & Business Cases: Draft high-level business cases, formal recommendations, and improvement proposals for executive review and approval.
