Randstad is partnering with a prominent Queensland Public Sector organisation to recruit a permanent Finance Business Partner based on the Gold Coast. Operating in a dynamic, team-based environment, you will provide strategic financial analysis, budgeting, and performance management advice to key operational leadership to drive decision-making and fiscal performance.
This role is classified at the AO5 level and offers a competitive salary range of $108,998 – $118,247 per annum + 12.75% superannuation.

As the Finance Business Partner, you will be responsible for:
- Conduct complex financial research and variance analysis using enterprise systems and Excel to identify key performance drivers.
- Perform proactive cost-driver and service/program profitability analysis across operational business units to drive efficiencies.
- Provide expert advice to operational managers on internal budgeting, forecasting, employee expenditure, and financial implications of decisions.
- Build strong business partnering relationships, translating complex financial insights for non-finance stakeholders.
- Deliver timely management reporting, month-end processes, general ledger reconciliations, and ad-hoc executive insights.
- Support continuous process improvements and build financial capability across regional business units.
Key Skills:
- Proven background within a financial analysis, accounting, or business partnering capacity.
- Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline (CA/CPA qualifications or progress towards viewed favourably).
- Demonstrated experience across end-to-end financial processes, including budgeting, forecasting, variance reporting, and month-end close.
- Strong technical capability with advanced Microsoft Excel and major Enterprise ERP financial systems.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial data for non-finance stakeholders.
- High-level attention to detail and the ability to manage competing regional priorities.
