In this impactful opportunity, you will join a high-performing team within a large State Government department dedicated to supporting vulnerable members of the Queensland community. Based in modern Brisbane CBD offices, this temporary contract offers an immediate start through to the end of December, with a high likelihood of extension. Working as a Processing & Licensing Officer, you will play a key role in delivering end-to-end assessments of applications and licensing checks, balancing strict regulatory compliance with an empathetic, human-centric approach to service delivery.

Conducting detailed end-to-end reviews of applications and licensing requests against strict eligibility criteria and departmental policies.
Managing and triaging incoming workflows to fast-track urgent applications and licensing assessments for individuals in immediate need.
Verifying and authenticating sensitive applicant data, licensing documentation, credentials, and supporting evidence to ensure process integrity.
Delivering accurate, timely, and well-reasoned decisions regarding subsidy eligibility and licensing approvals.
Maintaining meticulous electronic records within secure databases to ensure strict compliance with privacy, confidentiality, and regulatory guidelines.
Strong empathy, emotional intelligence, and sensitivity when engaging with or assessing cases for vulnerable individuals.
Demonstrated analytical skills to interpret complex policies, licensing frameworks, and regulatory requirements.
Exceptional organisational capabilities to manage high-volume application and licensing workloads without compromising accuracy.
Technical proficiency in Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Teams) and document management platforms (SharePoint, Content Manager/TRIM).
Prior experience using a secure Client Management System (CMS), licensing registry, or case management database within a government or complex service environment.
Competitive hourly pay rate of $51.12/hr + superannuation.
