Randstad is currently recruiting for an AO3 Administration Officer to work with a State Government Department on an upcoming major infrastructure project on an initial 3 month assignment with potential for further extensions.

Are you an organised, detail-oriented administrative professional looking to bring your skills to a high-impact team? In this dynamic, multi-faceted role, you will be the backbone of our operations delivering essential administrative, workflow, and systems support to engineers, technical specialists, and senior leadership. Working directly with the Principal Advisor (Corridor and Land Management), you will play a vital role in keeping critical infrastructure projects, permit approvals, and development assessments moving efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate team meetings, take and distribute minutes, draft engineering reports/presentations, and build/maintain operational registers and spreadsheets.
- Support the end-to-end administration and processing of Traffic Control Permits, Road Corridor Permits, Development Applications, and Property Searches.
- Utilise specialised software tools including Document Management Systems, GIS mapping platforms, and the MS Office Suite.
- Act as a key point of contact, building positive relationships with internal engineering teams, council representatives, applicants, and external stakeholders.
- Manage competing deadlines to ensure all operations comply with departmental standards, legislative requirements, governance frameworks, and WHS guidelines.
What We’re Looking For
- A solid background administratively supporting technical, engineering, planning, or government teams.
- Tech-literate with experience operating database/workflow systems alongside advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a track record of managing workflows, prioritising tasks, and tracking multi-stage approvals.
- Great interpersonal skills with a commitment to delivering responsive service to both internal and external stakeholders.
- Sharp attention to detail with an understanding of compliance, WHS obligations, and record-keeping standards.
