About the role
Reporting to the Senior Manager, you will:
- Make final admissions decisions on complex international student applications referred by the University’s offshore admissions team.
- Conduct detailed Genuine Student (GS) assessments and, where required, Genuine Temporary Entrant (GTE) assessments, ensuring compliance with University policy and Australian Government legislation.
- Review complex academic, financial, identity and supporting documentation, identifying potential fraud, inconsistencies and compliance risks.
- Provide operational oversight and quality assurance across offshore admissions teams and contracted service providers.
- Monitor admissions quality, regulatory compliance and service standards while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Act as the University’s subject matter expert on international admissions policy, South Asian admissions practices and Australian regulatory requirements.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders and offshore partners to support consistent, high quality admissions outcomes.
About you
To be successful, you’ll bring:
- Extensive experience in international admissions within an Australian higher education institution.
- Demonstrated experience making complex admissions decisions and interpreting admissions policy in a regulated environment.
- Strong knowledge of Genuine Student (GS) assessment requirements, the ESOS Act, National Code and relevant Migration Regulations.
- Experience reviewing complex financial, identity and academic documentation to support admissions decisions.
- Experience working with offshore admissions teams, education agents or contracted service providers.
- Sound understanding of Indian education systems, documentation standards and admissions practices.
- Exceptional analytical, stakeholder engagement and decision-making skills.
