Your New Company/Role:
As one of the established and rapidly growing organizations, my client is looking for an Accounts Officer to join their growing team, due to their remarkable track record and growth in their business based in Western Sydney. This is a 9 months fixed term contract position and subject to extension/permanency.
The role consists of 75% accounts receivable and billings and 25% of accounts payable duties alongside open to junior candidates with minimal experience but is able to pick things up quickly and hit the ground running.
About the Opportunity / Responsibilities:
Reporting into a supportive and nurturing Finance Manager.: Your duties are:
Your duties include:
- Ensure compliance and adherence to Corporate Policies
- Full reconciliations of Retailers payments
- Creation of all customer invoicing & credit notes in a timely manner
- Responsible for all adjustment requests
- Responsible for providing support in all aspect of Billing, in particular assisting with and resolving billing queries
- Refund process on a daily basis
- Develop strong and effective relationships with internal stakeholders and customers
- Create new accounts and access customer account to remove or place on hold
- Reminder letters/notices and statements generation
- Assisting AP team with mailbox and resolving all queries in a timely manner
- Accurate and timely coding and processing of supplier invoices
- Match invoices to Purchase Orders
- Other ad-hoc tasks as set and determined by management.
Ideal Profile
This opportunity is for someone who has similar experience. You will also bring:
- Diploma/Bachelors in Accounting/Finance or related work experience
- Prior experience in a similar role (1 year and above)
- Open to junior candidates who are fast learners and able to hit the ground running
- Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Exposure to Oracle Netsuite [ideal but not mandatory] as other ERP systems exposure are welcomed
- Intermediate Excel proficiency
- Good at time management and problem solving
Benefits

- Up to $72,000 + Super (based on experience) - can go slightly more for the right candidate
