The Gawler Aquatic Centre is located adjacent to the North Para River near the Willaston Bridge. Surrounded by River Red Gums and spacious lawns, the Centre comprises of three swimming pools, a 50 metre seven lane pool, a Learn to Swim pool and a Toddlers pool. All three pools are heated, with the 50 metre pool heated to 27 degrees and the two smaller pools heated to 32 degrees. The Gawler Aquatic Centre services the local community with both leisure and recreational opportunities, providing a range of activities which include lap swimming, learn to swim and fitness programs. The Gawler Aquatic Centre is also home to the Gawler Amateur Swimming Club.

qualifications you need
- Lifeguard: Pool Lifeguard Certificate (SISSS00133 Pool Lifeguard Skill Set), current HLTAID009 Perform CPR and HLTAID011 Provide First Aid. Minimum age 16 years.
- Swim Instructor: Swimming and Water Safety Teacher Certificate (SISSS00132 Swimming and Water Safety Teacher Skill Set) or equivalent. Requires current HLTAID009 Perform CPR and a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). Minimum age 16 years.
- Aqua Aerobics Instructor: A nationally recognised Aqua Exercise Instructor qualification or SISSS00135 Aqua Exercise Instruction Skill Set. Requires current HLTAID009 Perform CPR, and a Working With Children Check (WWCC) depending on the facility.
- Recreation Attendant (Essentials Only): Essential requirements typically include current HLTAID011 Provide First Aid and HLTAID009 Perform CPR, and a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). Skating experience is advantageous but not essential.
