What You’ll Be Doing

• Operating side-loader collection vehicles for residential wheelie bin services (kerbside waste, recycling, and organic green waste).

• Operating rear-loader vehicles for hard waste collections, commercial bins, or manual bulk drop-offs.

• Conducting daily vehicle pre-start checks, defect reporting, and maintaining fleet cleanliness.

• Navigating established council collection routes safely and efficiently using onboard technology/maps.

• Adhering strictly to council safety procedures, route schedules, and pedestrian safety protocols.

What We’re Looking For

• Licence: Current Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver’s Licence (or higher) with a clean driving record.

• Experience: Proven experience operating Side Loader and/or Rear Loader waste collection trucks.

• Safety First: Strong commitment to WHS, site risk assessment, and safe heavy vehicle operations.

• Tickets: Valid General Construction Induction Card (White Card).

• Availability: Flexible to pick up short-term contracts, ad-hoc relief shifts, or fixed-term temporary assignments at short notice.

• Compliance: Ability to pass a pre-employment functional assessment and drug/alcohol screening.
