About the Role
We are seeking a versatile Leading Hand to join a Cleansing/Street Services team.
This role bridges the gap between field-based machinery operation and essential office administration. You will be the leading hand of daily operations, keeping streets clean while ensuring the team has the communication, supplies, and coordination they need to succeed.
Key Responsibilities
In the Field:
Coordinate daily field activities to ensure smooth operations.
Safely operate heavy machinery, including the Street Sweeper and Compactor.
Show a willingness to expand your skill set and learn additional equipment (such as the mini broom).
In the Office:
Manage day-to-day administrative tasks, including responding to email requests.
Organize and manage PPE supplies for your field team..
Support team communication and help maintain high operational standards.
What We Are Looking For
A valid Heavy Rigid (HR) truck licence is mandatory for this role to operate Street Sweeper and Compactor.
Versatility: Someone who is equally comfortable in the cabin of a street sweeper and sitting at a desk handling emails.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional approach to teamwork.
Tech Savvy: Comfortable using computers and learning new software/applications.
Reliability: An early bird who loves the 4:00 AM start and values the perk of finishing by 1:00 PM.
