Are you an experienced Heavy Vehicle Driver looking for a stable local role on the Sunshine Coast? We are seeking dedicated drivers to join a leading environmental and waste management team in an ongoing, full-time capacity.
✨ What’s On Offer:
⏰ Consistent Local Hours: Monday to Friday schedule with standard 5:00 AM starts (typically 10-hour days, with occasional 11+ hour shifts).
⚖️ Work-Life Balance: Minimal weekend work with a shared rotation roster (1 Saturday shift per month).
🎓 Comprehensive Training: Full onboarding, structured buddy shifts, and complete training on how to operate all vacuum equipment and machinery.
🏠 Home Daily: All local operations across the Sunshine Coast region.
🛠️ Key Responsibilities:
🚛 Safe operation and handling of heavy vacuum vehicles for liquid and waste collection.
📋 Conducting pre-start checks, basic maintenance, and maintaining logbooks.
🔧 Assisting with on-site pump-outs, equipment setup, and discharge procedures.
🔄 Occasional movement of MC fleet vehicles around the depot/yard as required (if you hold an MC licence).
🎯 What You Need:
🪪 Licence: Minimum Heavy Combination (HC) licence required.
💡 Experience: Waste industry experience is a bonus, but not essential—a strong work ethic and willingness to learn equipment operation are key.
💪 Reliability: Punctual, safety-focused mindset with the physical capability to handle manual hoses and heavy vehicle operations.
