This role sits between technical delivery, stakeholder management and commercial coordination. You will work with telecommunications carriers, technology partners, venue owners and internal teams to ensure telecommunications requirements are understood, planned and delivered successfully.
You do not need to be a telecommunications engineer. However, you will need enough technical knowledge to confidently engage with carriers and technical specialists, understand designs and dependencies, ask the right questions and challenge delivery where required.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate telecommunications planning and delivery across Games venues and operational locations.
- Work with carriers, technology partners and venue teams to manage requirements, dependencies, access, risks and delivery milestones.
- Review and challenge proposed telecommunications solutions to ensure they meet Games requirements.
- Support commercial and supplier management, holding delivery partners accountable for agreed outcomes.
- Coordinate testing, readiness activities and transition into Games time operations.
- Maintain clear reporting across delivery status, risks, dependencies and decisions.
What we are looking forWe are open to candidates from several backgrounds, including:
- Telecommunications consulting professionals with strong technical knowledge and client facing delivery experience.
- Telecommunications account management or pre sales professionals with strong stakeholder skills and sufficient technical depth to work credibly with engineering teams.
- Venue technology or major event technology professionals with significant telecommunications exposure.
You will bring a good working understanding of telecommunications infrastructure, strong stakeholder and supplier management skills, and the ability to operate effectively across technical, commercial and operational teams.
Experience across major venues, telecommunications carriers, major events, infrastructure programmes or complex multi supplier environments would be highly regarded.
