Are you a high-performing asset manager, maintenance supervisor, or infrastructure program leader? We are recruiting a Team Leader to drive the operational delivery, governance, and financial performance of essential maintenance programs across Queensland’s early childhood education facilities.
Positioned in Brisbane City, this 12-month contract offers the opportunity to lead a critical service function that keeps educational environments safe, functional, and fully compliant. You will blend high-volume operational management with strategic governance, managing substantial expenditure and key stakeholder partnerships.
Program Delivery: Lead the assessment, prioritization, approval, and monitoring of over 4,000 reactive maintenance requests and 80 planned maintenance projects annually.
Financial Management & Assurance: Provide financial oversight, funding approvals, budget monitoring, and acquittal to deliver maximum value for money.
Governance & Compliance: Ensure all maintenance services strictly adhere to legislative, regulatory, and departmental frameworks.
Stakeholder Engagement: Deliver expert, strategic advice to regional offices, Central Governing Bodies (CGBs), schools, contractors, and consultants.
Reporting & Strategy: Prepare executive-level briefings, performance information, and risk management reporting to support long-term asset planning.
You excel at balancing operational high-volume demands with rigorous governance and clear communication.
Proven experience managing high-volume maintenance, facilities, infrastructure, or program delivery functions.
Solid grasp of program governance, financial management, budget acquittal, and risk mitigation.
Exceptional stakeholder engagement skills with a track record of translating complex asset data into practical solutions.
Experience leading teams or complex programs in government, education, or infrastructure settings is highly regarded.
Mandatory: Valid Queensland Working with Children Check (Blue Card), or ability to obtain one.
Competitive Rate: Earn up to $88/hr + super on a high-value 12-month program.
