Our client is a leading Queensland Energy organisation who has an established architecture practice and is undergoing a structured uplift to strengthen discipline, accountability, and delivery focus.
In this role, you will act as the primary delivery-facing resource, translating enterprise standards into practical, implementable solution designs across key projects. This engagement focuses on embedding a delivery-first, backlog-driven model, working closely with engineering teams to drive successful project outcomes and ensure alignment with governance standards.
This is a 12 month contract with the likelihood to extend and will suit a candidate that is currently in and has tenure across Energy, Power, Water, Utility, Rail or related industries. Candidates that also have consultancy experience would be highly regarded.
What You Will Do:- Establish and maintain a prioritised architecture backlog to ensure a clear pipeline of solution design work with defined scope and acceptance criteria.
- Develop and deliver solution design artefacts that provide implementable designs aligned to enterprise architecture standards.
- Progress backlog delivery and manage outcomes to ensure consistent delivery and the proactive escalation of risks and blockers.
- Contribute to architecture standards and reusable patterns to strengthen consistency and reuse across solutions.
- Track and report on delivery performance to provide visibility of delivery outcomes and governance engagement.
- Commercial experience designing and delivering solution or enterprise architecture.
- Strong cloud and integration architecture capability, specifically utilising APIs, event-driven systems, and microservices.
- Proven ability to operate in agile delivery environments, including experience with backlogs, sprints, and milestones.
- Experience working embedded with delivery teams and successfully managing competing priorities.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and facilitation skills, with the ability to lead design workshops and produce clear, implementable artefacts.
