About the RoleWe are looking for an experienced, local Civil Site Supervisor who knows the Canberra landscape inside and out. If you have a proven track record of delivering residential or commercial subdivisions from breaking ground to final handover.
You will be the driving force on-site, managing subcontractors, ensuring strict adherence to TCCS (Transport Canberra and City Services) standards, and keeping projects on time, on budget, and safe.
Key Responsibilities- On-Site Leadership: Oversee daily operations, manage subbies, and coordinate plant, equipment, and materials.
- Compliance & Standards: Ensure all works meet strict ACT government specifications, particularly TCCS, Icon Water, and Evoenergy requirements.
- Safety First: Maintain a zero-harm site culture, managing WHS compliance, site inductions, and risk assessments.
- Quality & Progress: Monitor project milestones, solve on-site engineering challenges, and drive QA documentation.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, superintendents, and local authorities during site inspections.
Canberra Subdivision Experience: Minimum 3–5+ years supervising civil subdivision projects specifically within the ACT.
Local Knowledge: Strong understanding of local council/TCCS approvals, Icon Water standards, and ACT civil compliance.
Leadership Skills: A natural leader who knows how to motivate crews, manage subbies firmly but fairly, and keep a site running smoothly.
Qualifications: White Card, Asbestos Awareness, and Silica Awareness (essential for ACT). A Cert IV in Civil Construction Supervision or a trade background is highly regarded.
Valid Driver’s License: Unrestricted Australian driver’s license.
