The Role
As a driven Project Manager, you will report directly to the Managing Director, taking ownership of Tier 1,2 or 3 commercial projects up to $20M. You will lead a high-performing onsite team, including Site Managers, savvy Contract Administrators, and direct labor.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Delivery: Manage projects from $400k to $20M, ensuring they are on time, on budget, and to an award-winning standard.
- Stakeholder Management: Act as the primary point of contact for subcontractors, government authorities, and blue-chip clients.
- Project Governance: Oversee site setup, budget monitoring, reporting, and final handover.
- Compliance: Ensure 100% adherence to onsite regulations and safety standards.
Project Portfolio
You will gain exposure to a diverse range of high-spec environments, including:
- Government & Infrastructure: Schools, TAFEs, Police, and Fire Stations (GC21).
- Hospitality & Leisure: RSLs, bars, clubs, and pubs.
- Complex Refurbishments: Heavy refurbs in live environments and extensions into adjoining tenancies.
- New Builds: From cold-shell fit-outs to standalone commercial constructions.
About You
You are a proactive problem-solver who thrives in the fast-paced world of commercial fit-outs and refurbishments. To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Proven Experience: A track record of managing Head Contractor commercial projects within Australia.
- Adaptability: The ability to think on your feet and manage multiple tasks in a live, high-pressure environment.
- Professionalism: Exceptional communication skills and the ability to build rapport with subcontractors and sophisticated clients alike.
- Technical Literacy: Strong planning, organisational, and budget-reporting skills.
