Randstad's procurement, contracts & supply chain team are currently partnering with Adelaide Community Healthcare Alliance (ACHA), a leading not-for-profit private healthcare network in South Australia, seeking an experienced Senior Procurement Business Partner.
This is a genuinely commercial, category-facing role within ACHA's newly established, independent Procurement & Supply function. You'll take ownership of clinical categories - consumables, medical devices, equipment and pharmacy-related spend - and act as the primary procurement partner to clinicians, nursing leaders and hospital management across Ashford Hospital, Flinders Private Hospital and The Memorial Hospital.
This role would suit an experienced procurement or category professional from either the public or private sector who is comfortable operating in a period of genuine organisational change and comes with a competitive salary and NFP salary sacrifice benefits.
Key Responsibilities- Leading strategic sourcing and category management across clinical consumables, medical devices, equipment and pharmacy-related procurement.
- Partnering closely with clinicians, nursing leaders and hospital management to translate clinical requirements into effective procurement strategies, including coordinating product evaluations and trials.
- Leading tenders, RFPs and RFQs, and negotiating directly with suppliers on pricing, rebates, service levels, continuity of supply and other key commercial terms.
- Owning the establishment, transition, renewal and renegotiation of ACHA-specific supply agreements previously managed through Healthscope.
- Working alongside the Contracts & Supplier Performance Manager to ensure contracts are properly documented, executed and monitored, and managing ongoing supplier performance reviews.
- Identifying and delivering sustainable savings, cost avoidance and value improvement opportunities without compromising clinical outcomes or continuity of supply.
- Supporting the rollout of ACHA's new Workday ERP and Evisort contract management systems across assigned categories.
- Contributing to procurement policy, governance and continuous improvement as ACHA's independent Procurement & Supply function matures.
- Substantial experience in a senior procurement, category management, commercial or supply chain role, ideally covering high-volume physical goods or consumables.
- A track record in contract transition, supplier negotiation and relationship management, particularly in fast-changing or off-boarding environments.
- Confidence engaging and influencing clinical, executive and supplier stakeholders alike - experience partnering with clinical professionals is highly regarded.
- Strong commercial and analytical acumen, with a solid understanding of total cost of ownership and value-for-money principles.
- Experience with ERP, eProcurement or contract management systems - Workday and/or Evisort experience highly regarded.
- A background in healthcare, medical device or pharmaceutical procurement is highly desirable but not essential.
- A valid driver's licence and willingness to travel flexibly between ACHA's new Adelaide City headquarters, hospital sites and Distribution Centre as required.
- Ability to be largely based onsite, although some ad hoc flex/WFH is available by agreement with management.
