Senior Estimator | National Specialist Builder
Package: $240,000 – $300,000 + Super

The Company
We’ve partnered with a well-established national builder that has been delivering commercial projects across Australia for over 50 years. Known for handling complex commercial and retail builds up to $100M, they have a steady pipeline of work with repeat blue-chip clients and a stable, experienced team.
The Role
Based in Richmond, you’ll take the lead on high-value, complex tenders from initial review through to award. This is a senior, hands-on role where you will run your own bids, identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities, and help mentor junior estimators across the team.
Key Responsibilities
...Run end-to-end tenders for major commercial and retail packages up to $100M.
Produce detailed first-principles estimates, scopes of work, and trade packages.
Review subcontractor quotes and lead scope clarifications.
Identify value-engineering options and project risks to protect margins.
Provide technical guidance and day-to-day mentoring to junior team members.
Lead handover meetings with the project delivery team once tenders are won.
Requirements:
- At least 10+ years estimating within Australian commercial construction.
Demonstrated experience as an Estimator working on Commercial and retail projects.
Knowledge of Cubit, Cubit Select, or Buildsoft.
Deep understanding of construction methodologies, local subbie networks, and building codes.
A relevant degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or equivalent practical industry experience.
Full, unrestricted Australian working rights.
