The Details

- Role Type: Temporary Contract: Part-time, 4 days per week
- Contract Term: 6 Months
- Location: Wyong, NSW
- Work Rights: Full Australian working rights required
Key Responsibilities
- Strategy & Frameworks: Develop, refine, and implement contemporary community engagement strategies and frameworks to meet specific project needs.
- Facilitation & Events: Lead best-practice engagement activities including walk-shops, working groups, forums, and community workshops.
- Channel Management: Manage communications across multiple platforms, including social media, online consultation mediums, and telephone enquiries.
- Project & Crisis Management: Professionally manage high-profile, sensitive, or contentious projects while calmly navigating conflict and political environments.
- Advisory & Reporting: Provide high-level engagement advice to internal business units, evaluate the effectiveness of activities, and report on outcomes.
Skills & Experience Required
- Qualifications: A Degree in Communications, Public Relations, Public Participation, Social/Strategic Planning (or equivalent solid experience). An IAP2 Certificate in Public Participation is highly desirable.
- Licence: Current Class C Drivers Licence.
- Proven Experience: Extensive background running diverse community engagement programs (specifically co-design and trauma-informed approaches) for large, public-facing organisations.
- Communication Mastery: Outstanding interpersonal, negotiation, and high-level facilitation skills, with the ability to manage conflict effectively.
- Adaptability: Proven capacity to work autonomously within budgets, adapt to changing priorities, and handle frequent interruptions with a solution-focused mindset.
