Randstad has exclusively partnered with an exciting brand new contract manufacturer specializing in high-quality skincare, sunscreens, and cosmetic products. Operating from a cutting-edge facility in the Western suburbs of VIC, our client prides themselves on upholding the highest regulatory standards to deliver exceptional products to a diverse portfolio of brands.
Now that their brand new facility is operating they are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Compounder / Batch Mixer to join their production team.
The Role
Reporting directly to the Production Manager, the Compounder is responsible for the precise compounding and batching of products in strict accordance with raw material formulations and Batch Manufacturing Instructions.
This is a highly responsible, hands-on role where accuracy, adherence to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP), and meticulous safety and hygiene protocols are paramount to ensuring final product quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Batching & Compounding: Accurately dispense materials and compound batches according to specific Batch Manufacturing Instructions.
- Line Clearance: Perform thorough line clearance protocols both before and after batching processes.
- Sanitation & Hygiene: Clean and sanitize mixing equipment and tanks according to strict written procedures, ensuring the ongoing cleanliness of the facility.
- GMP Documentation: Meticulously record all batching activities and material usages within the GMP documentation system in an accurate and timely manner.
- Quality & Collaboration: Execute product reworks under the direct instructions of the R&D Chemist, and promptly report any deviations or raw material inconsistencies to the Quality Manager or supervisor.
- Safety Compliance: Strictly adhere to personal hygiene standards and Mandatory Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements at all times.
What You Bring
Our client is looking for a focused and reliable team player who takes pride in accuracy and safety. To be successful, you will possess:
- Industry Experience: A minimum of 3 years’ compounding/batching experience within a similar cosmetic or sunscreen space. Pharmaceutical may be suitable.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong working knowledge of operating and maintaining mixing, packing, and filling machinery, with the ability to troubleshoot minor equipment issues.
- System Literacy: Basic experience or exposure to ERP or MRP inventory and production systems.
- Compliance Mindset: A solid understanding of working within a regulated GMP environment with strict adherence to written SOPs.
- Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different levels of the production floor.
