The Role
Youu will play a vital role in maintaining the specialized cooling, HVAC, and refrigeration systems that support both operational machinery and onboard crew welfare.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Performing installation, refurbishment, planned maintenance, and defect rectification on submarine refrigeration and secondary mechanical systems.
Executing complex work scopes accurately through dedicated work packs.
Diagnosing, repairing, and testing industrial-grade cooling, chilling, and HVAC systems.
Ensuring strict adherence to safety, quality, and compliance protocols in high-precision, heavy engineering environments.
Collaborating with cross-functional trade teams and leaders to ensure seamless project close-outs.
What We Are Looking For
Qualifications: Trade Certificate III in Refrigeration & Air Conditioning (or equivalent Certificate III in Mechanical/Fitting).
Experience: Proven experience in industrial or heavy commercial refrigeration, HVAC systems, or heavy marine engineering.
Key Skills: Ability to interpret complex technical drawings and work packs, paired with a commitment to safety and quality assurance.
Security Requirement: Must be an Australian Citizen eligible to obtain a Naval Shipbuilding and Sustainment Identification Card (NSSIC)
