The Randstad team are recruiting for a leading company in South Australia. We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Purchasing Officer to join a fast-paced supply chain team.

Key Responsibilities
- Generating, placing, and expediting Purchase Orders (POs) through ERP based on real-time requirements.
- Closely monitoring inventory to prevent shortages and eliminate production downtime.
- Tracking and reporting on supplier metrics.
- Partnering daily with production planners, warehouse, and engineers to ensure seamless operations.
- Taking ownership of damaged parts, managing returns and dispute processes.
- Resolving invoice/receipt discrepancies with Accounts Payable.
- Negotiating pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules.
- Ensuring all suppliers strictly adhere to the sustainability, quality, and corporate compliance standards.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will ideally possess:
- Proven experience in Purchasing or Procurement preferably within a manufacturing, engineering, or heavy industry environment.
- Strong proficiency using ERP systems for generating POs and tracking inventory.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to hold suppliers accountable to on time targets.
- A meticulous eye for detail when resolving invoice discrepancies or quality non-conformance's.
- A collaborative mindset, ready to work hands-on with cross-functional warehouse and production teams.
