Our client, an independent Commonwealth entity, is delivering a transformational transport network across Australia's east coast to boost productivity, support housing, and meet net zero targets.
This pivotal role provides strategic and operational leadership over the planning, design, procurement, construction, and commissioning of an advanced manufacturing facility, driving innovation, collaboration, and workforce capability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Governance:
- Program Leadership: Direct strategic and operational facility management, translating priorities into actionable frameworks.
- Executive Representation: Represent the client and program at executive, board, and intergovernmental levels.
- Risk & Assurance: Embed strong risk management, governance, and assurance across all activities.
AMF Delivery & Operations:
- End-to-End Delivery: Oversee facility design, procurement, construction, fit-out, and commissioning.
- Systems Integration: Coordinate advanced manufacturing systems, integrating IT, OT, and data infrastructure.
- Continuous Improvement: Drive safety, quality, sustainability, and performance enhancements.
Industry Engagement & Innovation:
- Technology Adoption: Lead MMC, modularisation, robotics, automation, and digital control systems adoption.
- Strategic Partnerships: Partner with industry, academia, and R&D to drive innovation and commercialisation.
Workforce & Capability Development:
- Capability Uplift: Engage with training providers to co-design workforce development programs tailored to a high-tech manufacturing environment.
- Culture & Safety: Promote a culture of high performance, inclusion, and a safety-first mindset, while actively supporting mental health initiatives across the team.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience: Proven delivery of large-scale infrastructure or manufacturing facilities, with success in complex procurement and partnerships.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of advanced manufacturing (MMC, modularisation, IT/OT) and embedding technology into workflows.
- Education: Tertiary qualifications in engineering, manufacturing, or a related discipline.
Salary & Work Rights
- $1200 - $1500 + super ; varying with experience.
- Location: Options available across Sydney, Canberra, or Newcastle.
- Must be an Australian Citizen.
