How Will You Make an Impact?
The Product Specialist – Industrial and Gas will be responsible for driving customer success through technical sales expertise in the assigned territory. This field-based role combines business development and technical knowledge to grow our portfolio of gas detection, testing, and compliance solutions across a varied range of industrial enterprises.
You will work closely with customers to identify and understand the best solutions for their needs, delivering safe and effective outcomes. By collaborating with internal Product Management, Commercial, Technical, and Service teams, you will help establish and maintain our position as a supplier of choice through tailored solutions, strategic territory execution, and a strong sales pipeline aligned with key commercial objectives.
Key Responsibilities
Sales Execution & Territory Management
Achieve or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets (AOP) in alignment with organizational margin objectives.
Develop, implement, and regularly update strategic territory and account plans.
Maintain existing business while identifying and developing new accounts and market segments.
Execute an effective call cycle, including face-to-face (approx. 10/week) and virtual customer (approx. 7/week) engagements in line with organizational metrics.
Provide accurate sales forecasting, demand tracking, and opportunity funnel management.
Product & Technical Expertise
Promote the Gas and Industrial portfolio, including lone worker, portable and fixed gas safety detection devices, as well as industrial testing and compliance equipment.
Develop a deep technical understanding of customer applications, regulatory environments, and workflow requirements.
Conduct product demonstrations, seminars, and customer training activities.
Collaborate with Strategic Partnerships, Customer Care, Technical Support, and Service teams to grow the business, resolve customer issues, and ensure high satisfaction.
Participate in internal product training and relevant industry scientific meetings and conferences.
Market Intelligence & Collaboration
Gather and report market trends, competitor activity, and customer feedback (including win/loss insights).
Support Product Management with inventory planning, forecasting, and go-to-market initiatives.
Work cross-functionally to support a whole-of-business sales approach.
Pipeline, CRM & Compliance
Maintain accurate and timely records of customer interactions, opportunities, and forecasts within the CRM system (updated weekly).
Ensure forecast accuracy within agreed tolerances.
Adhere to Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) policies and contribute to a safe working environment.
Minimum Requirements / Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Material Sciences, Occupational Hygiene, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience
4–8 years of technical sales experience in relevant applications (e.g., Gas Detection, Workplace Safety, Testing & Compliance).
Demonstrated sales success with technical products and services.

Valid driver’s license.
