Randstad Education is partnering with a vibrant, community focused and multicultural Government Primary School located in Melbourne’s northern suburbs. We are seeking an energetic and passionate Grade 6 Teacher for a position commencing immediately through to the end of the 2026 school year. There is a strong possibility of this transitioning into an ongoing role for the right candidate.

The Role
This is a full-time position teaching a dynamic Grade 6 class, preparing them socially and academically for their transition to secondary education.
Curriculum & Planning: Participate actively in collaborative team planning, working closely with your year-level peers to develop engaging, aligned lesson plans.
Classroom Management: Implement robust, positive behaviour management strategies to cultivate a structured, focused, and safe learning environment.
Relationship Building: Forge deep, positive connections with students from diverse cultural backgrounds, using your energy to motivate and inspire them.
Community Engagement: Foster inclusive classroom practices that welcome and respect the cultural and linguistic heritages of all families.
Successful Candidate Profile
Qualifications: Full registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching (VIT).
Experience: Prior primary teaching experience is highly preferred. The school is ideally looking for an experienced educator with a proven track record of managing classrooms effectively.
Attributes: Highly energetic, passionate, and resilient. You must have excellent classroom management skills and the cultural competence required to thrive in a diverse school community.
