An exciting opportunity to join a major financial institution's Transformation Delivery Hub as a PMO Lead. In this role, you will be embedded within a high-profile strategic transformation program, establishing and maintaining fit-for-purpose governance, planning, and control frameworks. Working alongside senior leaders, your goal is to enable disciplined execution, maintain risk and financial control, and drive the program toward clear, timely outcomes with a strong focus on speed to value.
Key CriteriaProven PMO Leadership: Extensive experience leading a PMO within a large, complex, multi-workstream transformation or regulatory program environment.
Governance & Delivery Controls: Deep knowledge of program governance, integrated planning, risk/issue (RAID) management, and executive reporting.
Financial & Vendor Oversight: Strong commercial acumen with experience in program budget tracking, forecasting, variance analysis, and vendor performance management.
Tooling Expertise: Proficiency in Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft 365.
Stakeholder & Influencing Skills: Demonstrated ability to engage, challenge constructively, and drive accountability across Program Directors, Sponsors, and multidisciplinary teams.
Industry & Domain Experience (Desirable): Prior exposure to the Financial Services sector and supporting functions like Technology, Data, Finance, and Risk.
Certifications (Desirable): Relevant qualifications such as PMP, PRINCE2 Practitioner, AIPM CPPD, or Agile (SAFe, Scrum, Kanban).
Program Sponsor, Program Director / Program Lead, and Program Leadership Team
Workstream Leads, Delivery Leads, Product Owners, and Business & Technology Stakeholders
Control partners including Finance, Risk, Procurement, and Transformation Governance
External Vendors and Third-Party Partners
Program Delivery Oversight & Governance: Monitor integrated program baselines, manage RAID logs and change control registers, and deliver accurate, evidence-based status reports for senior governance forums.
Planning & Prioritisation: Partner with leadership to establish and maintain the integrated program roadmap, managing cross-workstream dependencies, critical paths, and resource constraints.
Risk & Financial Control: Coordinate risk treatment processes, maintain oversight of program budgets, actuals, and forecasts, and ensure alignment with institutional policies and compliance frameworks.
Resource & Vendor Management: Oversee resource capacity planning, manage onboarding/offboarding workflows, and support vendor commercial administration and deliverable tracking.
Stakeholder Coordination: Facilitate governance forums, streamline communications across technology and business units, and drive follow-through on action items and decisions.
