Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated and physically fit Pick Packer / Warehouse Operator to join our team. In this busy, hands-on role, you will be responsible for accurate order picking, operating material handling equipment (tugger), packing, and staging orders for dispatch using RF scanners, computer systems for shipping labels, and pallet wrap machines.
Key Responsibilities
Order Picking & Equipment Operation:
Safe operation of an electric tugger pulling pallets throughout the warehouse.
Accurately pick items from shelving (up to 1.6 metres high) using an RF scanner and place them onto pallets.
Safely open incoming wrapped pallets using utility knives as required.
Packing, Scanning & Dispatch Prep:
Transport picked orders to the packing desk.
Scan items into the system and use a desktop PC interface to generate and print accurate shipping labels.
Apply labels directly to the relevant items/cartons.
Pallet Wrapping & Staging:
Transport completed pallets to the stretch wrap station and operate the pallet wrapping machine.
Use the tugger to transport fully wrapped, labelled pallets to the designated staging area for transport pickup.
Maintain a clean, organized, and hazard-free workstation.
Required Skills & Experience
Experience: Previous experience in a warehouse, pick-packing, or logistics environment (RF scanning experience or tugger operation is a plus).
Technical Skills: Basic computer literacy to navigate label printing software and scan items accurately.
Physical Capability: Comfortable standing, walking, and reaching up to 1.6m height during shift operations.
Personal Attributes: High attention to detail, punctuality, and the ability to work productively in a busy environment.
