We are currently seeking a dedicated Operations Support Coordinator to play a pivotal role in delivering vital community programs and internal operational excellence.
About Your Next Role
In this fast-paced position, you will serve as the central operational hub for ALPA's Community Services division, directly connecting back-office administration with frontline service delivery. You will oversee day-to-day procurement, travel arrangements, ID processing, and onboarding logistics, ensuring our remote site teams have everything they need to deliver impactful programs across remote First Nations communities.
What You Will Do
- Logistics & Procurement: Manage end-to-end purchasing, obtain quotes, process purchase orders/invoices, and coordinate stock logistics and deliveries for remote sites.
- Travel & Compliance: Coordinate travel bookings and manage compliance processing, including Working with Vulnerable People checks and identification applications within tight timeframes.
- Onboarding & HR Support: Liaise with People & Culture and Remote Payroll to welcome and seamlessly integrate new team members.
- Operational Reporting: Maintain up-to-date tracking registers, departmental dashboards, order logs, and budget documents.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Act as a responsive liaison between internal departments, site teams, external suppliers, and community partners.
What You Will Bring
- Administrative Excellence: Relevant experience in office support, logistics coordination, or program administration.
- Tech & Detail Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) with exceptional attention to detail in tracking data and registers.
- Communication & Empathy: Strong interpersonal skills to build positive relationships across diverse cultures, teams, and suppliers.
- Problem Solving: Proactive mindset with the ability to manage competing deadlines and resolve issues efficiently.
- Cultural Competency: Experience or a strong desire to work respectfully alongside First Nations people in remote settings (highly desirable).
- Requirements: Hold or have the ability to obtain a valid NT driver’s license. Qualifications in Business Administration or Community Services (Cert III/IV) are desirable.
Note: Occasional travel to remote ALPA communities by 4WD or light aircraft may be required.
