Our client is a highly respected Australian specialist in industrial Air Pollution Control (APC) systems. They are mobilising a specialised Odour Control Unit (OCU) installation on the outskirts of Woodend, set to commence on Monday, June 29th.
The Opportunity: High-Spec, Clean Environmental Technology
Forget the usual muddy, chaotic tier-one construction environments. For this project, your crew will be the only team operating on-site at the time. You will have full autonomy to execute the mechanical installation safely, cleanly, and efficiently without working over the top of other trades.
You will be installing a state-of-the-art turn-key environmental system designed to treat industrial emissions, requiring high-cleanliness craftsmanship and precise mechanical alignment.
What You Will Do:
You will lead the physical installation and assembly of specialised industrial APC plant equipment over a 5-6 week pipeline:
Storage & Structural: Position, level, and secure a large industrial fibreglass storage tank and assemble an aluminium structural platform according to GA drawings.
Ventilation & Filtration: Erect a 12-meter-high Vent Stack (400mm diameter) and install a specialised fan, heater, and 2-stage filter system.
Ducting & Pipework: Run, connect, and secure premium fibreglass extraction ducts alongside standard PVC pipelines.
Site Autonomy: Partner closely with an assigned Trade Assistant on-site to drive the project to completion safely and on schedule.

What You Bring:
The Trade: Recognised Australian Trade Qualification as a Mechanical Fitter (or equivalent mechanical trade).
The Background: Proven experience assembling industrial plant gear, structural platforms, commercial air handling duct work, or specialised piping.
The High-Risk Tickets: You must hold a valid Working at Heights (WAH) certification.
The Access Edge: A valid EWP Licence (Elevated Work Platform) is highly preferred for the high-level vent stack installation (Confined Space ticket is also highly regarded).
