What Your Day Will Look Like
Working under the guidance of the workshop supervisor within a collaborative team, your daily responsibilities will include:
Executing the end to end strip, survey, cleaning, refurbishment, assembly, and testing of hydraulic and mechanical equipment.
Diagnosing and resolving technical problems on high integrity hydraulic equipment in accordance with strict departmental procedures.
Maintaining clean room management protocols and conducting regular maintenance on workshop equipment.
Reading and interpreting detailed drawings, undertaking goods inwards inspections and accurately completing vital supporting documentation.
Actively contributing to a safe working culture aiming for zero lost time injuries or erroneous environmental discharges, while identifying continuous workshop process improvements.
Requirements for the Job
We are open to trade qualified professionals from a variety of backgrounds including industrial hydraulics, heavy industry, cylinders, or similar manufacturing sectors. To be successful, you will need:
A formal Trade Certificate in a relevant engineering or mechanical trade discipline.
Extensive hands on experience in the refurbishment, stripping, and assembly of hydraulic and mechanical systems.
The ability to read, interpret and work accurately from detailed drawings.
A current Australian driver’s licence. (Additional tickets like Forklift (LF) or Light Rigid (LR) are highly regarded).
Due to the strict security nature of the facility and the assets you will handle, you must hold, or be able to obtain a baseline clearance.
Ability to pass a comprehensive pre employment medical assessment.
