About the Role

We are looking for a Maintenance Stores and Materials Officer to assist our team for a short term contract. In this hands-on position you will oversee day-to-day maintenance stores, materials handling, local facilities, and inventory management. You will deliver high-quality procurement, freight, and inventory services across our network to ensure operational success.

Key Responsibilities

• Inventory Management: Maintain store inventory levels, conduct accurate stocktakes, action orders/transfers promptly, and process stock adjustments

• Procurement & Purchasing: Administer procurement activities and process purchasing requests

• Safety & Facility Operations: Maintain a safe working environment, optimize store layouts for space and safety, handle materials correctly, and operate vehicles and machinery responsibly.

• Customer Service & Stakeholder Support: Provide timely picking, packing, and dispatch/delivery of materials, and support internal teams and external suppliers with purchasing procedures.

What We Are Looking For

Essential:

• Forklift Licence: Current High Risk Forklift Licence.

• Driver’s Licence: Current Australian Driver’s Licence.

• Tech Savvy: Proficient computer skills and systems adaptability.

• Procurement & Inventory Knowledge: Demonstrated understanding of procurement and inventory processes (or a strong capacity to learn quickly).

• Clearances & Health: Willingness to undergo background checks (Police check, Traffic check, etc.) and relevant medical assessments required for the role.

Desirable:

• Background or practical experience in store operations and inventory management.

• Technical or administrative qualifications
