About the Partnership
Randstad is excited to be supporting our valued business partner, a global market leader in sustainable building materials and footprint infrastructure, to source a collaborative Logistics Supervisor for their expanding South East Queensland operations.
About the Company & Culture
This is an outstanding opportunity to align your career with a global organisation highly recognised for its commitment to sustainability, circular economy solutions, and workplace excellence. A certified Top Employer, this business thrives on a genuinely supportive, family-focused culture where individuals can truly excel.
Operating from a modern office based in Milton, you will enjoy premium amenities including close proximity to public transport, local dining venues, and a full kitchen and diner overlooking the river. The company strongly believes in celebrating effort and achievement - offering regular team lunches, marking personal milestones like birthdays, and recognition awards for team members who go above and beyond. You will report to an open, approachable, and actively engaged management team that genuinely welcomes new perspectives and fresh ideas.
The Opportunity
Based in Milton, this permanent, full-time position will see you overseeing a dedicated team of four Allocators and one Customer Service Officer (CSO). You will lead the day-to-day logistics and optimisation of aggregate transport, managing an entirely contracted tipper truck fleet.
This role is an excellent next step for an experienced industry professional who has coached, trained, or overseen allocators and fleet operations, and is now ready to step up into a formal supervisory position.
Your core objective will be to supervise transport resources effectively to optimise safety, compliance, financial performance, and operational results across the local network.
Key Responsibilities:
Team Leadership: Supervise, mentor, and upskill your team of Allocators and CSOs to ensure high competency and flexibility.
Fleet Optimisation: Manage truck utilisation and loading/unloading times in conjunction with management to maximise efficiency and reduce costs while maintaining optimum customer service levels.
Operational Excellence: Assist in driving progressive cost reductions, meeting delivered-on-time and in-full (DIFOT) targets, and implementing operational improvement programs.
Compliance & Safety: Maintain a strict zero-harm safety culture, ensuring complete compliance with the Workplace Health and Safety Act, fatigue management legislation, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR).
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate across Logistics, Customer Service, Operations, and Sales teams to achieve service targets, while maintaining strong local community relationships.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be a confident transport professional with proven hands-on operational experience in fleet allocations, scheduling, or coordination within a heavy industry or related environment.
Requirements include:
Experience supervising, coordinating, or training teams within contracted fleet environments (experience with tipper vehicles is highly regarded).
Strong working knowledge of transport rules, regulations, and Chain of Responsibility (CoR).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail.
A process-improvement focus with the ability to develop fleet operational performance and capability.
Solid IT proficiency, with experience using enterprise systems (SAP and Google suites preferred).
What’s on Offer
Competitive Salary: $100,000 Total Remuneration Package (TRP).
Long-Term Stability: A permanent career pathway offering national enterprise stability over temporary project volatility.
True Reward & Recognition: Structured recognition awards for going over and above, alongside regular lunches to celebrate effort and achievement.
Thriving Team Culture: A family culture that celebrates everything from personal birthdays to collective team wins.
Engaged Leadership: An open, approachable management team that is actively engaged with staff and receptive to new perspectives.
Premium Workspace: Modern Milton office location featuring a full kitchen diner overlooking the river, close to vibrant dining venues and public transport.
Purpose-Driven Work: Join a market leader heavily focused on green tech innovation and low-carbon, circular economy construction solutions.
