library services support officer

I am looking for energetic and customer focused library support officers for multiple opportunities working within a highly focussed service environment.

Working with a phenomenal collection and team, your exceptional customer service and communication and interpersonal skills will ensure the ultimate satisfaction of your customers’ needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide quality, customer-focused information and directional services at customer service points.
• Respond to routine reference enquiries and triage more complex queries to appropriate specialist teams.
• Assist with technology support services for customers and staff, including troubleshooting and delivering basic training on library systems and technologies.
• Contribute to collection maintenance duties, including reshelving, shelf tidying, and maintaining collection accessibility.
• Support administrative operations, including rostering, minor library management system updates, and procedure documentation.
• Participate in process reviews to continuously enhance customer experience and drive workflow improvements.

Ideally you will Possess:

• Customer Focus: Demonstrated experience delivering excellent customer service, assessing customer needs, and resolving enquiries with tact, empathy, and confidentiality.
• Technical Skills: Experience utilising technology to improve workflows, along with the ability to troubleshoot and support staff/customers with library systems.
• Communication & Collaboration: Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a proven track record of working collaboratively within a team environment.
• Qualifications (Desirable): A Diploma of Library and Information Services (or equivalent qualification acceptable for ALIA membership) is highly desirable.
