Location: Cairns, QLD Job Type: Contract / Temporary (Immediate start – ends 14th December)
About the Role
We are seeking a versatile and reliable Construction Labourer to join our Cairns team for an immediate start. This is a dynamic, fixed-term contract running until December 14th. You will split your time between assisting tradies on fast-paced modular house builds and taking ownership of our depot, fleet vehicles, and equipment management.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting carpenters and other tradies with on-site works for modular builds.
Handling material pick-ups, deliveries, site cleans, dump runs, and furniture removals.
Delivering and erecting site fencing and banner mesh across locations.
Managing vehicle servicing drop-offs, maintenance tasks, and completing weekly vehicle checks.
Working 3 days a week at the depot organising tools, managing BN labelling, and handling tool inventory.
Arranging equipment audits, safety checks, and completing Test and Tagging for tools.
Performing general service and routine maintenance on tools and equipment.
Mandatory & Desirable Requirements
Mandatory: Valid Construction White Card and a strictly clean driver's licence.
Mandatory: Ability to successfully pass a Physical Assessment, Drug & Alcohol screen, and a National Police Check.
Mandatory: Immediate availability to work in Cairns until the 14th of December.
Highly Desirable: Previous proven experience working on general building and construction sites.
Highly Desirable: An active HR (Heavy Rigid) license.
