About the Company
We are a well-established, purpose-driven community services organisation based in Melbourne's northern suburbs, committed to supporting local families and communities through high-quality programs and essential support services.
About the Role
We are seeking an action-oriented Internal Communications Manager for a targeted, project delivery role focused on bringing our new internal digital environment to life.
The core focus of this role is intranet creation and stakeholder engagement. Working alongside project management resources, you will lead the practical rollout of our platform—taking established site structures and actively building pages, populating content, and working side-by-side with internal teams to build capability.
Key Responsibilities:
Intranet Build & Population: Hands-on creation and formatting of intranet sites/pages in SharePoint, applying metadata, navigation, and governance standards.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner directly with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) across corporate functions to extract, refine, and structure internal guides, policies, and resources.
User Enablement & Training: Create practical SOPs and run basic training sessions so internal site owners can manage their content long-term.
Project Delivery: Coordinate with project managers to keep content migration and site builds moving to schedule.
Skills Required
Primary Skill – Intranet Build Experience: Proven, hands-on experience building, structuring, and launching intranets (specifically using SharePoint / Microsoft 365).
Primary Skill – Stakeholder Engagement: Exceptional communication and "stakeholder wrangling" skills—able to collaborate effectively with busy, non-technical SMEs to get content drafted and finalized.
Content & Governance: Strong understanding of content architecture, metadata, and user experience best practices.
Delivery Mindset: A proactive self-starter who thrives in contract/project roles, maintains momentum, and takes initiative.
Compliance: Standard Victorian background checks (WWCC and National Police Check).
Benefits
Hybrid, 2 days in the office, 3 from home.
Dedicated PMO and Change Management support throughout the build.
Convenient northern suburbs location with free parking.
Supportive, value-driven team culture.
