Layfield International is seeking an Inside Sales Executive Representative to support their growing Australian operations.

In this dynamic role, you will serve as the primary internal anchor for their field-based sales team and the main point of contact for customers. Guided by the core "Promise to Serve" commitment, you will work closely with International Sales, Canadian Production, Logistics, and Supply Chain teams to manage the order fulfillment cycle seamlessly.

Responsibilities

Your day-to-day will involve a mix of customer interaction, order management, and supply chain coordination:

  • Internal Sales & Customer Support: Handle incoming telephone inquiries, provide price quotes, send product descriptions/samples, and handle basic customer issues or complaints.
  • Order & CRM Management: Enter orders into the ERP system (SYSPRO) and accurately document quotes and customer interactions in Dynamics 365.
  • Sales Team Partnership: Act as the internal point of contact for the Director and Account Manager, referring custom or large-scale inquiries to them as appropriate.
  • Inventory & Logistics Control: Actively coordinate third-party or internal warehousing activities, maintain stock control records, perform regular stock takes, and proactively predict/report stock shortages to the Canadian Supply Chain team.

Skills & Experience

  • 1–2 years of internal sales & customer service experience working directly with customer inquiries within a Manufacturing or Construction environment.
  • Completion of post-secondary education in Business or Sales (or an equivalent combination of education and experience).
  • Experience using ERP and CRM systems is highly regarded.
  • High degree of competence in both written and verbal communication, paired with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Detail & Adaptability: High attention to detail with proven abilities to multitask and handle rapidly changing priorities.
  • A self-starter who works exceptionally well independently and as part of a collaborative international team.
