HR Administration Officer | 6-Month Contract
Location: North Geelong (Federal Mills)
Work Type: Full Time (38 hours per week)

About the Opportunity We are seeking an experienced HR Administration Officer to join an impactful, community-focused organisation based in North Geelong for a 6-month assignment.
Working within a dedicated HR Operations & Talent Pathways team, you will play a critical role in supporting end-to-end recruitment, selection, and candidate onboarding processes. This is a fantastic opportunity for a detail-oriented HR professional looking to apply their skills in a fast-paced, purpose-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities
Recruitment Coordination: Conduct initial phone screening, schedule panel and assessment centre interviews, coordinate venues, and issue employment contracts via e-recruitment systems.
Onboarding & Compliance: Monitor onboarding workflows, maintain personnel e-files, and conduct comprehensive pre-employment background checks (NCCHC, WWCC, VIT, and right-to-work validations).
HR Systems & Records: Update internal HR databases, maintain clean candidate records, and identify/escalate any compliance or operational risks.
Stakeholder Support: Liaise directly with hiring managers, candidates, the broader People & Culture team, and payroll to ensure seamless data accuracy.
What You Bring
Qualifications: Minimum Cert III in HR, Business, Administration, or equivalent hands-on industry experience.
HR & Recruitment Experience: Demonstrated background working within a dedicated HR function, with strong knowledge of recruitment and selection workflows.
Tech-Savvy: Demonstrated proficiency with HRIS, e-recruitment software, and compliance tracking platforms.
High Attention to Detail: Exceptional data entry accuracy, organizational skills, and commitment to maintaining strict confidentiality and risk standards.
Customer Focus: Strong communication skills with a client-centric approach to supporting both internal teams and external candidates.
