Randstad is excited to be supporting our valued business partner, an established industry leader in heavy transport and commercial vehicle repairs, to source a qualified Heavy Vehicle Mechanic to join their skilled workshop team in Brisbane.
Our partner has built a strong reputation for high-quality workmanship, excellent safety standards, and reliable service turnaround. A major part of their operation centres around commercial smash repairs, vehicle reconditioning, and chassis/structural alignment work. They take pride in maintaining a well-equipped workshop environment, investing in modern diagnostic tools, and fostering a collaborative team culture where clear communication and quality workmanship are rewarded.
Perform mechanical servicing, diagnostic fault finding, and repairs on heavy commercial vehicles.
Conduct mechanical tear-downs, component rebuilds, and reassembly associated with smash repair work.
Inspect, diagnose, and rectify hydraulic, mechanical, and basic auto-electrical system issues.
Work closely with the panel beating and repair teams to ensure seamless job completions and quality control.
Maintain clean work areas and adhere strictly to workshop safety protocols and documentation.
Heavy Vehicle Mechanic Experience: Hands-on experience working on heavy commercial vehicles is mandatory.
Smash Repair Knowledge: Prior exposure to heavy vehicle smash repairs, accident damage reconditioning, or major component refits is highly advantageous.
Trade Qualification: Relevant Australian Heavy Vehicle Trade Qualification (e.g., Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology or equivalent).
Work Ethic: Strong diagnostic ability, high attention to detail, and a focus on safe work practices.
Working Rights: Full working rights within Australia.
Rate: $48.00 – $60.00 per hour + super (permanent hourly rate).
Work Schedule: Enjoy an early finish every Friday to maximise your weekend.
Overtime: Additional hours available for team members seeking extra income.
