The Role
This is a dual-responsibility position where you will split your time between operating machinery and coordinating a small, dedicated team on the floor to ensure morning dispatch and receiving goals are met.
Location: Brisbane Northside
Pay Rate: $40.00 – $45.00 per hour (depending on experience)
Hours: Monday – Friday | 4:00 AM – 12:00 PM
Status: Ongoing full-time hours with a permanent transition expected within the first few months.
Key Responsibilities
Machinery Operation: Safely operating LF forklifts to load, unload, and stage incoming/outgoing freight.
Floor Leadership: Overseeing the morning team, managing picking schedules, and ensuring workflow remains efficient.
Safety & Compliance: Enforcing strict site WHS procedures and leading by example.
Handover Coordination: Managing stock documentation and prepping the floor for the incoming afternoon shift.
What You’ll Need
Current LF Forklift Licence with extensive operating experience.
Leadership Experience: Previous experience as a team leader, supervisor, or leading hand is a massive plus.
Cold Room Experience: Previous experience working in cold storage or temperature-controlled environments is a strong plus.
Reliability: 4:00 AM starts require a highly dependable individual who takes pride in punctuality.
Communication Skills: Strong ability to direct a team clearly, solve problems on the fly, and handle basic inventory paperwork.
