Join one of Australia’s leading Tier-1 banking institutions as they launch a major rapid-response program within their Financial Crime and Regulatory Risk division. Operating with top-tier technology and standard-setting risk frameworks, this organization offers a high-performing environment focused on combating complex financial crime threats, micro-money laundering, and regulatory exposure across Australia.
The Roles
We are seeking analytical Financial Crime professionals across multiple levels—spanning Risk Analysts, Reporting Specialists, and Quality Assurance (QA) Analysts—to join a high-priority, multi-stage project. Depending on your experience level, your day-to-day responsibilities will involve:
- Investigating complex transaction monitoring alerts and emerging typologies (e.g., micro-money laundering).
- Conducting deep-dive data investigations, mapping out suspicious timelines, and drafting comprehensive Grounds for Suspicion (GFS).
- Evaluating investigative findings to form official suspicion and filing Suspicious Matter Reports (SMRs) to regulatory bodies.
- Performing quality assurance (QA/QC) re-evaluations on completed case files to ensure investigative rigor, procedural consistency, and high-quality decision-making.
Your Experience
- Background: Proven experience in Financial Crime, AML/CTF, Transaction Monitoring, Fraud Operations, or Regulatory Compliance within banking or financial services.
- Core Skills: Strong capability in data analysis, timeline drafting, and written evidence collation (e.g., Grounds for Suspicion).
- Advanced Capability: Direct experience filing SMRs, performing customer risk decisioning, or running QA/QC case reviews (highly regarded for senior and specialist tracks).
- Logistics & Commitments: Availability to work on-site for the initial 7-week training period (hybrid 2-day office / 3-day WFH model thereafter) and full availability during the initial project launch phase.
