Location: Adelaide CBD (with field travel)
Contract Duration: 3–6 Months with opportunity for extension
Are you a hands-on field professional or science graduate looking to step into a rewarding role with a South Australian Government department? We are seeking a proactive Field Technician to join an active team delivering critical water sampling and environmental testing services across the region.
Key Responsibilities
Water Sampling & Analysis: Perform field sampling and chemical titrations (pH, dissolved oxygen, conductivity, and chlorine) to meet contract compliance and maintain strong client satisfaction.
Equipment & Data Management: Operate, calibrate, and maintain technical field equipment to ensure exact data collection and quality control.
Route Rotations & Skill Expansion: Work within a collaborative team structure, rotating across routes and adopting modern testing methodologies.
Key Requirements
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of water industry field services, sampling protocols, and analytical techniques.
Education: A Diploma or Degree in Science (or a related discipline)
Licence Requirements: Current Australian Driver’s Licence (Class C). Confidence operating manual 4x4 vehicles in field conditions is preferred.
