The Enterprise Financial Management (EFM) Project Analyst supports the delivery of the organisation's EFM program.
The role is responsible for analysing business requirements, mapping current/future-state processes, and driving improvements across financial management, master data, enterprise reporting, and system configurations (Microsoft Dynamics 365) to enhance cost transparency, governance, and decision-making while maintaining a strict safety-first culture.

- Ensure all work is conducted with safety as the primary priority and act in alignment with WaterNSW core values.
- Capture, analyse, and document business requirements across finance, project, asset, and reporting processes. Develop process maps, functional specifications, decision records, and acceptance criteria.
- Evaluate account code structures, project attributes, and business unit configurations. Maintain data inventories, mapping artefacts, and issue registers in collaboration with Finance teams.
- Develop and document financial policies, procedures, and governance frameworks (e.g., CAPEX/OPEX treatment, project code management, time-sheeting/charging practices).
- Define and document Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) and data integration requirements. Collaborate with Digital, Finance, and external vendor partners to validate solution designs.
- Document reporting hierarchy requirements, map data flows, and produce guidance materials/tools to support organisational adoption and financial transparency.

Mandatory Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Business Administration, Business Analysis, Project Management, Information Systems, or a related field.
Current NSW Driver’s Licence.
Experience:
Proven track record as a Business Analyst delivering finance, ERP (D365), reporting, data, or business transformation initiatives.
Strong expertise in requirements elicitation, process mapping, workshop facilitation, and documentation.
Deep understanding of financial management, project accounting, asset management, and master data structures.
Demonstrated ability to navigate complex stakeholder environments (Finance, IT, Executive, Operations).
Favourable / Desirable Criteria
Direct experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
Experience using Agile delivery frameworks for technology and business transformation.
Background in management accounting (CAPEX/OPEX allocation, financial reporting frameworks)
Experience within utilities, infrastructure, government-owned corporations, or heavily regulated environments.
