Randstad is currently partnering with a major defence company for a critical engineering role within their engineering team. The engineering team leader will be supporting a major program within their maritime operations.
Located in the Adelaide office, this 12-month fixed-term contract offers the potential for permanent conversion.
About the Role
- Provide team management and leadership to a multidisciplinary team of engineers working within the program.
- Supervise engineering tasks and ensure timely delivery of engineering artefacts that meets the regulatory engineering standards and processes.
- Utilise professional judgement and practical experience to direct technical analyses and investigations, facilitating key decisions and recommendations.
- Ensure the secure development and maintenance of accurate technical documentation within the designated data management system to support ongoing life-cycle knowledge capture.
- Accountable for the Product Safety implications and consequences associated with their role throughout the Engineering Life-cycle.
About you
- A Bachelors or Masters degree qualifications in Engineering.
- Comprehensive understanding of design, analysis, production, and support methodologies across the entire engineering product life-cycle.
- Ability to undertake Technical Assessments, and provide recommendations to alleviate Technical Risks.
- Solid understanding of Configuration Management and Engineering Change Management process.
- Strong proficiency in relevant engineering toolsets, such as design, simulation, and analysis software, along with PLM or MRP systems.
- Proven team leadership or technical authority experience within the defence sector.
- Australian Defence Security Clearance of NV1 and above (desirable).
