Our client is the premier national provider of electronic assembly and servicing solutions. As a trusted partner to major global brands (including Apple, Nespresso, and Dreame), they handle high-volume repair and testing services for consumer goods in Australia.
About the Role
This role combines technical troubleshooting with hands-on bench repairs. You will diagnose faults, service a range of consumer technology, and ensure top-tier performance post-repair. Our client is currently seeing an increase in volume repairing high-end vacuum cleaners.
Hours & Location
- Location: Macquarie Park, NSW (10 minutes from public transit)
- Employment Type: Ongoing Casual
- Days: Monday to Friday (occasional Weekend OT available)
- Shift Window: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (Example shifts, 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM | 9:45 AM – 6:00 PM | 10:00 AM – 6:15 PM)

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostics & Repair: Identify faults and perform in-house bench repairs on consumer products, including robot vacuums, coffee machines, and laptops.
- Quality Assurance: Execute thorough post-repair safety and functional testing before release.
- Continuous Learning: Participate in ongoing training programs to adapt quickly to new product models.
- Workstation Standards: Maintain clean, safe, and efficient work areas adhering to 5S methodology standards.
- Team & Operations Support: Assist with general warehouse tasks and workstation setups as required.
- Future Scope: Opportunity to transition into field service work as a Field Technician.
Candidate Profile
Essential Criteria:
- Work Rights: Must currently reside in Australia with valid, full-time working rights.
- Technical Mindset: Must pass a practical on-site assessment demonstrating sound diagnostic logic and comfort handling basic hand tools and testing apparatus.
- Adaptability: A proactive, flexible mindset with a willingness to assist in general workshop tasks.
- Physical Capability: Comfortable manually moving products weighing up to 15–20 kg.
Preferred Criteria:
- Prior hands-on experience (6+ months) repairing appliances or consumer tech is advantageous.
