Electrical Project Engineer – Water & Renewals
Title: Electrical Project Engineer | Water Infrastructure | $65 – $80/hr
Location: Arundel, QLD
Contract Duration: ASAP – Mid-Jan 2027 (potential to extend)
About the Role
We are seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to provide technical guidance, advice, and operational support on water infrastructure renewals and minor capital projects. Working closely with site teams, you will ensure constructability, quality delivery, and financial performance.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Advice & Site Support: Support Operations Delivery teams with technical reporting, site coordination, and progress reporting.
Design Reviews & Safety in Design: Participate in Safety in Design reviews, conduct 'fit for purpose' value engineering, review constructability, and manage AFC drawing timelines.
Project Controls & Estimating: Assist in developing project budgets, methodology selection, procurement options, and accurate monthly cost reporting/forecasting.
Risk & Zero Harm: Develop safety assessment reports and identify/mitigate hazardous site activities.
Requirements & Experience:
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (Mandatory).
3+ years Project Engineering experience within the water/waste or heavy civil sectors in SE Qld.
Demonstrated experience in self-perform D&C projects, managing subcontractors, drafting scopes of work, and managing schedules.
Compliance: Manual C-Class Driver’s License, pre-employment Medical & D&A test, and Hep A/B immunity.
