Electrical Capability Coordinator (ITS & Civil Electrical)
Location: Gold Coast, QLD (On-site / Not negotiable)
Contract: 12-Month Contract
Classification: AO5 equivalent (Pay point negotiated based on experience)
Are you a licensed Electrical Mechanic with a passion for mentoring, safety, and shaping the next generation of technical talent? We are seeking an Electrical Capability Coordinator for a 12-month contract based on the Gold Coast.
In this dynamic role, you will lead technical capability, training, and competency frameworks across high-profile civil electrical, ITS&E, and road operations. You’ll step off the tools to drive continuous improvement, coach apprentices and senior staff, and ensure technical standards remain top-tier.
Key Responsibilities
...Coordinate Technical Training: Oversee capability and competency programs supporting safe civil electrical and ITS&E operational work.
Maintain Capability Standards: Keep training plans, assessment evidence, and learning resources current and aligned with technical requirements.
Deliver & Support Learning: Facilitate civil electrical training, practical learning support, and technical knowledge transfer.
Mentor & Guide: Provide hands-on coaching and technical guidance to apprentices, trainees, supervisors, and project managers.
Drive Capability Growth: Support the Electrical Training Centre with continuous improvement, competency pathways, and succession planning.
Mandatory Requirements
Current, valid Queensland Electrical Work Licence (Electrical Mechanic).
Current valid Class C Driver’s Licence.
Based on the Gold Coast (or willing to commute daily; location is non-negotiable).
Desirable Criteria
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE40116/TAE40122 or equivalent).
Experience delivering electrical safety training within civil construction or maintenance environments.
Background in conducting electrical safety/quality audits and supporting formal workplace investigations.
Qualifications or practical experience in WHS, auditing, or incident investigation.
